Credit Rating Downgraded
Standard & Poor’s downgrades the credit rating of the United States from an absolute top-notch AAA to AA+. A small downgrade for sure but a downgrade nevertheless.

Dagong Downgrades U.S. Credit Rating
A little known Chinese credit rating agency, Dagong, has downgraded the United States’ from A+ to an A rating. Coincidentally, the Chinese stock market took a serious fall.

Gabby In The House
Representative Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona arrives at the Capitol to vote on the debt-limit bill in the House. It was the first time Ms. Giffords had appeared in Congress since being shot earlier this year. Too bad she voted for it.
