A little over nine and a half years after the attack that made his name known in American households from coast to coast and the entire world, President Barack Obama made the announcement that Osama Bin Laden is dead, killed by United States operatives in Pakistan.

  1. The way he did it: he didn’t make any “dead or alive” bluster; he gathered the intelligence and gave the word when it looked as if they had the right compound.

  2. Assuming that O…. is dead. What difference
    does it make any way?

    • Thanks for the feedback Akinwole,

It doesn’t make any difference whatsoever but to give people bragging rights. OK, we managed to find him and send him to his death a little earlier. But really, what difference does it make, other than making Mr. Obama look more competent in a lot of people’s eyes? I believe it would be a big boost to his approval, and another reason for a lot of people to hate him.

  3. Some of the Right are already spinning the event to try to marginalize President Obama’s connection to the operation. Depressing.

A friend of mine joked that the Fox headline would be “Washington: African American Male Confesses to Murder of Elderly Man.”

It wasn’t quite that blatant, but the radical right pundits have gotten their digs in. Shameful.

  4. that concocted story about getting Osama in Pakistan is sooooo juvenile! Our government should’ve been able to come up with a more believable story. Lord have mercy.
