Guilty Plea At Guantanamo
Canadian captive Omar Khadr pleaded guilty to all five terrorism charges against him in the U.S. war crimes tribunal at the Guantanamo Bay naval base as part of a deal that would limit his sentence to about a couple of years.

NPR Fund Drive
National Public Radio is conducting its fund drive here in St. Louis this week. Today is the last day. We weren’t going to give. After being unemployed for so long we really are watching every penny. But after the Juan Williams fiasco, I suddenly have an urge to renew my support. We’ll find the money somewhere.

Juan Williams Gets Fired
National Public Radio fired Juan Williams for making anti-Muslim statements in a debate with FOX commentator Bill O’Reilly about the prejudice Muslims face. Mr. Williams admits to being irrationally afraid of Muslims but works to keep his fear from getting the best of him. While FOX doesn’t mind having people who wear their prejudice on their sleeves, NPR appears to have a much higher set of standards.

Virgina Thomas Wants An Apology
Virgina Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, is asking Anita Hill to apologize for accusing the justice of sexually harassing her, almost twenty years after the contentious confirmation hearings that spawned a national debate about harassment in the workplace. Ms. Hill contacted her local public safety office and eventually the FBI.

Faisal Shahzad is convicted for his failed May 1st attempt to blow up a car bomb in Times Square. He was sentenced to life in prison with never the possibility of parole. He warns that more attacks are imminent.
