April Fool’s

I was looking for a Joker to put on my Quick Note for April Fool’s and ran into this reminder. I really miss watching Batman cartoons.

The Vote On Healthcare

President Barack Obama delivers remarks on health insurance reform during his event at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. It looks like we’re close to getting this pig of a bill done. Surprisingly, I actually hope Mr. Obama succeeds.

Red River Flooding

Forecasters predict a 90% chance for the Red River to flood again this weekend. And residents still vow never to move. No doubt, life is more tolerable with flood insurance that is made available even though annual flooding is virtually guaranteed.

Clinton Slams Israel

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton delivered a rebuke to the Israeli Prime Minister for the announcement this week of new Jewish housing in east Jerusalem. A Prius Goes Crazy

Yesterday, a Toyota Prius goes bonkers, accelerates to excessive speeds, and refuses to stop or slow down. I guess Toyota took its reputation for cars that won’t quit a little too seriously. Maybe Toyota should consult with Hyundai on how to build a car that’s more apt to stop running.

Now maybe these resources can be put to use figuring out a way to prove the existence of racism for those who continue to believe it is a figment of imagination.

Popular Texas Governor Rick Perry trounced popular United States Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson in the Republican primary race for Texas Governor. The theory is that Ms. Hutchinson couldn’t distance herself from Washington, D.C. enough to appeal to voters. A bad omen for incumbents up for reelection this year.
