Barack Denounces Wright
“The person I saw yesterday was not the person I met twenty years ago. His comments were not only divisive and destructive, but I believe that they end up giving comfort to those who prey on hate and I believe that they do not portray accurately the perspective of the black church. They certainly don’t portray accurately my values and beliefs. And if Reverend Wright thinks that that’s political posturing, as he put it, then he doesn’t know me very well. And based on his remarks yesterday, well, I may not know him as well as I thought either.” – Barack Obama on Reverend Jeremiah Wright
Now that’s the Barack Obama I expected to see all those weeks ago!

Afghan security members are escaping from an attack against President Hamid Karzai near the presidential palace in Kabul. Are they not supposed to be protecting the President? Shouldn’t they be running in the other direction?

Jan Rhoades and Stephanie Martin walk away after putting flowers at a memorial for shark attack victim David Martin in Solana Beach, California. Mr. Martin was killed Friday by a shark while training for a triathlon. The hunt is on for the shark that killed him. Only in America will people want to kill a shark for being a shark.

Intelligent Design in Schools
I guess I don’t have a problem with intelligent design being taught in schools as long as we allow equal time for science to be taught in church.

High School Bomber
Ryan Schallenberger is the eighteen year old student accused of planning to bomb the high school in Chesterfield, South Carolina. But for some reason or another, black children are the ones considered most dangerous and out of hand. It is a sure bet he won’t be murdered by guards at a boot camp.

John McCain has not only jumped on the Barack Obama is an elitist express, he’s taken the throttle and jacked that sucker up to turbo. Funny, I didn’t realize that Michelle Obama was worth well over one hundred million dollars.

The Partiality of the ABC Debate
George Stephanopoulos was getting inspiration for his questions to Barack Obama in the Democratic debate from Sean Hannity, the conservative talking head over at the Fox News Network. What could one expect from the former press secretary of Bill Clinton? It would appear that impartiality is not a requirement as a debate moderator.

Hillary Clinton tries to dismiss her exaggerations were just a slip of the tongue brought on by the fatigue of campaigning. However, Barack Obama could never suffer from fatigue of running a campaign and is just an elitist. Sounds like another example of double standards!

A Break From The Federal Gas Tax
The Republican presidential nominee suggest a gasoline tax holiday between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Gas is on its way up to four dollars a gallon and John McCain wants to save me about eighteen cents. Sounds like another Republican economic stimilus plan!

Barack Obama has the nerve to refer to Hillary Clinton as Annie Oakley for her comment about how she thinks so fondly about hunting! How dare he insult her so casually! He owes Ms. Oakley an apology!

Here He Goes Again
General Petraeus will make another visit to the hill to say how America is winning the war despite all the evidence to the contrary. Rest assured Iraq and the war on terror will once again dominate presidential politics.

A Quarter Million Jobs Gone
A quarter million jobs have evaporated out of the United States economy! If that doesn’t sound like the economy is in recession then what does? And everybody’s six hundred dollar check isn’t going to turn it around when gas prices and food prices are going through the roof.

Forty years later we’re supposed to believe that the dominant white community supported Doctor King in his quest and the black community’s quest for equal rights!

Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe speaks to supporters at an election rally in Bindura! It looks like a change is in the air for Zimbabwe. About time! A country where bread cost a billion dollars needs a change.

Oil Executives Defend Profits
Oil executives defend their profits. The oil companies need the tens of billions of dollars in profits in order to invest a hundred million dollars in exploration and research. Between the five of these oil companies their profits easily exceeded a hundred billion dollars. Their investments in research amounted to less than one tenth of a cent for every dollar they collected!
