That the terrorist watch list covers half the population is pretty much the point, I think. It’s part of the police-state mentality, where everyone’s a criminal just looking for an opportunity to hurt someone or something else.

How do so many Americans find this not the least bit troubling? Do they think, “well if you’re not a terrorist you have nothing to fear”? Do they really think that? “Terrorism” is whatever the President, Dept of Homeland Security, Dept of Justice, or local police/law “enforcement” people declare it to be.

I think your story on the gang of Philly cops beating 3 black men shows this pretty well. The present law “enforcement” mindset is militaristic, authoritarian, and definitely 180 degrees opposite “peace officer”. They’re not trying to keep peace. They’re trying to disrupt it, and to reveal in the process that THEY control society.

It’s about control. It’s about putting us under their thumbs.

And it smells pretty bad to me.
