That the terrorist watch list covers half the population is pretty much the point, I think.  It&#039;s part of the police-state mentality, where everyone&#039;s a criminal just looking for an opportunity to hurt someone or something else.

How do so many Americans find this not the least bit troubling?  Do they think, &quot;well if you&#039;re not a terrorist you have nothing to fear&quot;?  Do they really think that?  &quot;Terrorism&quot; is whatever the President, Dept of Homeland Security, Dept of Justice, or local police/law &quot;enforcement&quot; people declare it to be.  

I think your story on the gang of Philly cops beating 3 black men shows this pretty well.  The present law &quot;enforcement&quot; mindset is militaristic, authoritarian, and definitely 180 degrees opposite &quot;peace officer&quot;.  They&#039;re not trying to keep peace.  They&#039;re trying to disrupt it, and to reveal in the process that THEY control society.

It&#039;s about control.  It&#039;s about putting us under their thumbs.

And it smells pretty bad to me.</description>
