The numbers are in for 2006 and I must they are more surprising than I could have even imagined. In three different categories black people committed more crimes than their white counterparts. In the category of murder and non negligent manslaughter white people committed 4,595 crimes (46.9%) compared to 4,990 crimes (50.9%) committed by black people. In the category of robbery white people committed 39,419 crimes (42.2%) compared to black people’s 52,541 (56.3%). And finally, in the category of criminal gambling, white people committed 2,358 crimes (26.2%) compared to black people’s whopping 6,467 crimes (71.8%). Click here to see Table 43 for yourself.
Now let’s get to the really surprising part.
Out of the 10,437,620 crimes committed in the United States 7,270,214 were committed by white people while 2,924,724 were committed by black people. In terms of percentages that means 69.7% of the crime in 2006 were committed by white people and 28% committed by black people. According to the numbers published by the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigations, black people should be far from being America’s number one problem.
It is true black people are the main culprits in the three categories mentioned in the first paragraph. But in twenty eight other categories the white community is seriously out of hand. White people rule such categories as forcible rape (65.3% to 32.5%), aggravated assault (63.2% to 34.5%), burglary (69% to 29.2%), larceny (68.6% to 28.9%), motor vehicle theft (62.7% to 34.9%), arson (76% to 21.6%), arson violent crime (58.5% to 39.3%), arson property crime (68.2% to 29.4%), other assaults (65.2% to 32.2%), forgery and counterfeiting (70.1% to 28.2%), fraud (68.7% to 30%), embezzlement (65.7% to 32.2%), stolen property (64.6% to 33.7%), vandalism (75.4% to 22.2%), weapons (57.7% to 40.6%), prostitution (56.7% to 39.6%), sex offenders (with the exception for forcible rape and prostitution, 73.3% to 24.5%), drug abuse violations (63.6% to 35.1%), family offenses (66.9% to 30.7%), driving under the influence (88.4% to 9.2%), violation of liquor laws (85.4% to 10.7%), drunkenness (84.3% to 13.2%), disorderly conduct (63% to 34.7%), vagrancy (56.7% to 41.6%), suspicion of crime (58.7% to 38.2%), curfew and loitering violations (61% to 37.2%), runaways (68.5% to 25%), and all other offenses with the exception of traffic (67.5% to 30%).
Time and time again we hear about black on black crime rates and how black children are out of hand and how single parent homes are tearing apart the very fabric of the black community. Let the media tell the story and black people are downright insane with criminal activity. Unfortunately, in the past, the only numbers I could ever find were the numbers associated with murder where black people out number their white murdering associates by 395 crimes. But according to these numbers from Table 43 it looks like white criminals are in a league of their own compared to their black counterparts when the full measure of criminal activity is applied. William Bennett may have been correct when he said that if one wanted to reduce crime all one had to do was abort every black baby. But if someone really wanted to reduce crime to an even greater degree it would be far more efficient and far more effective to abort every white baby.
But, the people in the news only want to bring attention to the murder rates where the number of crimes committed per race is compared to the overall population of the race. To stand back and listen to the media tell the story, and most of us do, black people are seven times more likely to commit crimes or black people crime rates are seven hundred percent higher then white crime rates. This is automatically translated to mean that black people are committing more crimes and deserve a disproportionate amount of scrutiny from the public and law enforcement. And although everyone makes the assumption that the correlation between rates and numbers is directly linked, the reality is that the black community is far from being the only purveyors of gloom and doom.
When the suggestion is made that rates and percentages can be manipulated, people pop out the woodwork to defend the system. How many times have I heard someone say something like I simply couldn’t handle the truth? How many times have I heard someone say something along the lines of it is a given that black people commit more crimes? When asked for the raw numbers broken down by race, white mindset defenders howl like a wolf to the moon.
At best all I could do is take the percentages and the population numbers and do the math to get some estimates of the raw numbers. From this exercise it appeared certain that white people were the criminals more often than people wanted to admit. But without the true numbers from some governing body few people would be converted by my statistics. But Table 43 is here and we should finally be able to put all this nonsense to rest. All that is left to say to those people who insist on keeping the propaganda that the black community is some kind of threat to society is read’em and weep.
So will we see more news stories about the proliferation of white on white crime? Will we see more articles about the criminality of white people? Will we see anything that will suggest that white people commit more crimes than anyone else here in America? In all honesty I would have to guess that this will mean nothing. The reality is that the status quo will remain regardless of any evidence that it is built on a foundation of lies. Too many people in key places want to adhere to the subjugation of black people that they will continue to spread the misinformation. Regardless of any evil anyone else commits black people are the most evil.
Curious, indeed. I think you’re right, though, that many people will look at the rates and issue a series of guffaws when confronted with the overall numbers. Rates are very important and have a lot to say about the white and black communities but I feel your point is going to remain ignored.
There is one major clue that complicates your argument–Table 43 is for arrests and not convictions. (Innocent until proven guilty, we hope.) I know that the justice system favors the rich and because wealth is disproportionately seated in the white community, it would appear that the justice system favors white people. To compound that are cases of genuine racism, such as (I believe) the case with the Wilson kid in Florida. Moreover there are simply many more white people than black people so it makes sense that more white people are arrested. Perhaps an argument could be made that in cases involving black crimes, fewer suspects are arrested? This document doesn’t answer several key questions but it does suggest something that seems, at least at face-value, to contradict the general perception of crime and ethnicity. In the very least, Table 43 certainly complicates the discussion of crime and ethnicity.

I think maybe that is what rate-minded people would look at to refute what you’re trying to say. But I am curious to know what the correlations are between arrests, convictions, trials tried, defendant income, ethnicity, gender, age, and prison term sentence. I think if all these correlations were known or compiled, then the argument would probably be settled. The only question is why in the hell hasn’t this been done? I guess that’s part of what you’re trying to highlight in this post, though: the lack of insightful statistics on the part of the government.

Thanks for the feedback. I must confess that I have taken into consideration the arrest/conviction factor. It is a fact that a lot of people have the financial resources or political connection to escape conviction is a given in our so called blind justice system. Unfortunately, I believe this would only complicate the argument supporting the victimization of the black community even further. However, my approach is geared towards getting more people to accept the “official” numbers first and recognize the fact that we are being bamboozled into thinking the black community is some kind of criminal incubator. Once this step is completed we can take the next step of actually correcting the numbers further.
I would welcome the opportunity to see the relationship between arrests and non-convictions broken down by race. How many black people escape conviction compared to the number of white people who escape? That would make a seriously interesting piece of reading.

The problem here is that the argument about black crime isn’t so much the raw numberw but the rate relative to the overall population. So if we are seeing a 30% rate of some specific crime then it is looked at as disproportionate to the population of black folk.
So perhaps you need to show white crime relative to the white population which would either strengthen your argument or undermine it.
Still the raw numbers make a lie out of Bill Bennett’s statement sometime back.

With blacks only making up thirteen percent of the population while white people make up seventy percent will make the rate of black crime higher in many instances. However, the problem is that people take the rates and run. This is what leads people to mistakenly claim that black people commit more crime than white people or black on black crime is out of hand. Both of these blatant statements are flat out false. While black on black crime needs attention, it needs to be kept in context with white on white crime rates and numbers which are even higher.
Also, there are a number of factors that need to be taken into consideration as well. Law enforcement is focused on keeping their attention on potential black crime. A black person walking down the street is more likely to be checked out and picked up by police than their white counterpart. Black people don’t have the legal and financial resources to fight their arrest like white people do. A higher concentration of black people live in urban environments which are inherently more crime prone than the rural areas which are likely to be exclusively white.

You may also want to add that white violent crime (among males) increases with age to the point that middle aged white men are extremely dangerous and ought to be profiled.

Your argument is stupid. They’re are about 170 million more white people in America than black people. Percentage wise blacks commit much more crime.
Although blacks are 12% of the population in reality it is just 2% of the blacks that commit 50% of the murders and a greater percentage of other crimes. Consider: black females – 6%. Blacks from zero yrs. to 12 yrs. and black males from 50-100 years commit an infinitesimal percentage of the crimes. Therefore we are left with two percent. If we eliminate crimes committed by this two percent from the U.S. statistics our country compares very favorably with all Western countries. Fact — blacks kill 7 times more than whites kill. Fact — blacks kill whites 20 times more than whites kill blacks. Fact — blacks mug or commit group crime against whites 50 times more than whites commit against blacks. Fact — blacks rape white women 2000 (yes 2000) times more than whites rape black women. In New York City, about 300 white women are raped by blacks every year BUT there has not been a black woman raped by a white male in anybody’s memory (going back over 20 yrs.) Consider: Al Sharpton had to go upstate New York to find a hoax and that was almost 20 years ago. (Source NYT 4/22/05)

An individual black male is seven times more likely to commit murder than an individual white male. It so happens that black felons commit 43 percent of aggravated assaults, 66 percent of armed robberies, 27 percent of rapes and 85 percent of interracial crimes of violence, mainly against whites (this last figure from a Justice Department report 2003). Your denial is typical of the white mindset propaganda. I could have done like you and pull numbers out of my ass. Ninety eight percent of crimes are committed by white males. White males are fifty seven times more likely to commit rape than a black male. White women are twelve point seven times more likely to murder their children than black women according to the December 25th edition of the San Francisco Post. Any one can say that they are quoting numbers. But the numbers here are backed by a link to the bureau of statistics.
But this is too stupid for you to comprehend. Statistics show that when people don’t have a good argument they rely on name calling and saying something is stupid. Africa is in its condition because white people have pitted African tribes against each other and have fostered so much hate among the African people. Let a dictator pop up anywhere else in the world and people will move heaven and hell to eliminate them. The United States jumped at the chance to remove Saddam Hussein from power. Manuel Noriega had to be removed by an act of war. Slobodan Milosevic is another dictator that the United States military had to ratchet up for. But dictators in Africa are allowed to thrive and flourish because we really don’t give a shit about what happens in Africa. And then we just sit back and watch and say things like, see how evil black people are.
Yes it may be true that black people commit more non negligent homicides. But if more people would actually take an honest interest in helping the black community come to terms with the criminal element that is allowed to flourish in its midst it is a no brainer that this can change. Instead, we focus only on the symptoms of crimes instead of the root causes such as widespread poverty and lack of employment and better educational opportunities.
And you talk about Al Sharpton going upstate New York to find a hoax? How about George Bush who went all the way to Iraq to perpetrate a hoax that has cost the American people nearly half a trillion dollars and nearly four thousand lives to date? I’m sure even your biased thinking patterns must admit this is a far greater problem than anything Mr. Sharpton has ever done.
The fact of the matter is that nothing you say is totally stupid, although it is lacking intelligence. It’s just more white propaganda.

So what do all these numbers tell us?
In absolute numbers, whites and hispanics commit more crimes than blacks.
An individual black is much more likely to commit a crime than an individual white or hispanic.
That’s the truth. Next is to answer the question of “why?”, and then fix it.

Actually, the numbers only show that individual blacks are more likely to be convicted of crime. Often, white people who commit crime are dismissed with a wink of an eye. For example a white man like Joe Horn can kill a couple of black burglars at his neighbor’s house and people don’t even bother arresting him let alone charging him with murder. A black man like John White shoots a drunk white boy who is threatening Mr. White’s son and family and Mr. White is convicted of murder.
That’s the truth. Next is to answer the question of why. White people control the legal system, the justice system, and the media system that controls the propaganda that paints black people as more violent than white people. Now let’s fix it.
