Adam,

It isn’t a matter of winning or losing. It is a matter of identifying the mentality of the kind of people who are out there and what the black community has to deal with. I’m sorry if your cousin has put your name out here and now you’re exposed to some misfortune. But imagine how it would look if you were in my shoes. Besides, you are not the only Adam out here. Blame it on another Adam M*****y. The more comments you leave the better chance somebody will have of guessing who is really at work here.

Dear writer, I am Adam, Im sure you have heard of me but please do not think any less of me, my cousin needed my account details to do homework supposedly but he only recently showed me that my name was on google, i followed the link to this site and saw that i had apologised and then went on to insult you! This was not me! It was my cousin who used my name as an alias! PLEASE remove the above comments with my name as it was not i that wrote them! I actually talked to my cousin about how arrogant and stupid he was to do such a thing! PLEASE remove those comments! I dont want to have any association with him anymore nor his disgrace, at least remove the one that says my full name! Please!

This scenario isnt a one off, (had bro p not written about it then most of us wouldnt have heard about as the media tends to hide white crime but wave black crime in our face) and sadly this scenario is not unique, i feel sorry for black people and i want to say that you are one of the most oppressed races ever but how you stand up to adversity is amazing… you must be very proud of your heritage bro p! Believe it or not, I am a black man with white ancestors. This article was written a long time ago. By white community, I refer to the dominant community that controls the vast majority of wealth here in the United States that claims to be racially generic but somehow is predominantly white and is overwhelmingly influenced by the typical values of white people. Not every person in this group is white. Not every white person is in the group.

when you say white community do you mean anyone with white decent i m lost you should be more specific with what race your talking about and you know what white ppl hence jews have been persecuted in europe they’ve been persecuted the most. It isn’t only the black community that has been persecuted it is every community at one time or another. Anybody with a difference in them from the other communities is treated with hostility and the only way ppl are going to stop being hostile is if we accept those differences and build upon them. Yes your right that it is very important for us to take these “pranks” with caution and treat them seriously. But what we really need to do is try and get rid of this hatred between all cultures!!Then take the good of US ALL and make it BETTER.

I agree with you. The claim that it was a prank was just an excuse to dismiss the issue. If they intended it as a prank why not come forward and admit it instead of operating under a cloak of anonymity?

i dont think that it was ever intended to be just a prank, that was probably just their “get out of jail free” card… burning a cross? is that directed at African-Americans or just at Christians? Oh and by the way im glad that Obama won… mccain is just old (although his concession speech showed that he was gracious because at mccains first mention of Obama the audience began jeer but mccain put up his hands to settle the crowds). Obama is coming to irelaland! cant wait!

Ok so hang a noose on a tree is just a prank… and burn a cross is ‘expressing my constitutional right to have an opinion and make it public’?
If the guys really thought that ‘it was just a prank’ then there’s nothing that can be done for them. Their sense of ‘humour’ is very low, their sociability is even lower and their respect for anybody else but them is next to zero.
In a word… losers.
But it would be good to check if the guys really were just making a prank… or were in fact making a point.
